    IFP School takes part in the French Students Cup

    Eight students from IFP School took part in the launch of the 21st French Students Cup held near the Ile de Frioul in the  Bay of Marseilles on 1st and 2nd February 2014.

    For this first round, the students represented the School aboard the Grand Surprise sail boat. The « IFP School » team was made up of:

    • Romain Girard (DEG)
    • Guillaume Hervé (ENM)
    • Philippe de Lastic Saint Jal (DEG)
    • Cyril de Masfrand (DEG)
    • Médéric Moisson de Vaux (DEG)
    • Thibault Monier (ENM)
    • Marc Antoine Roche (DEG)
    • Quentin Sustrac (DEG)


    Five races were held on the first day of the competition. The IFP School boat varied between 5th and 3rd place but weather conditions worsened and no races were run on the Sunday. IFP School students ended up in 6th place out of a total of 16 teams.

    The French Students Cup  is a sailing competition organized by EDHEC. It takes place over three weekends between January and Easter, giving teams the chance to train before taking part in the final race.

    The students will be competing again on two more week-ends at La Trinité and off the coast of Jersey (GB).
