The PRO program visits the Joint Base for oil provisioning in Chalon sur Saône

    June 2, 2014

Following an invitation from the Army Fuel Service (SEA), students of the Energy and Products program (PRO) visited the Joint Base for oil provisioning in Chalon sur Saône for the very first time on May 20th 2014.

On this occasion, they were able to discover the specifics of military oil logistics, mainly implemented during external operations involving French armies.

As part of the teaching unit on downstream oil logistics, the students of the PRO program traditionally make several visits to industrial sites (transport by road tankers, oil depot, fuelling of an aircraft at Roissy, oil transportation by pipeline, etc).

This visit, which the students much appreciated, has strengthened the links between the SEA and IFP School, where every year several officers complete their training.
