IFP School students in Akron, USA

    February 3, 2016

IFP School has just begun a collaboration with the University of Akron (Ohio, USA), the historical center of the tire and polymer industry. The agreement includes a six-week exchange program in Akron, from mid-January to end of February 2016, by four students (from Bolivia, Egypt, India and Iran) currently enrolled in IFP School’s POLY (Processes and Polymers) Masters degree. The aim is for them to benefit from a unique training program and deepen their knowledge of polymer chemical sciences.

The collaboration between IFP School and Akron University’s College of Polymer Science and Polymer Engineering has been planned for a period of three years and will allow the students to cover other aspects of the sector and become familiar with a different academic and educational approach altogether. Similarly, four students from Akron will come over in June and discover in turn the specificities of the courses at IFP School. This mutual enrichment could hopefully give way to more extended exchanges in the future, as Céline Pierre, Head of the POLY program, explains.
