First students from the Class of 2017 welcomed in August

    August 31, 2016

It has now become a tradition for students from the intensive English and French summer courses to follow the steps of Superintendent of Finances Nicolas Fouquet and King Louis XIV at the chateau of Vaux-le-Vicomte. After the guided tour, the students took over the gardens designed by Le Nôtre to play out “fantastic Olympic games” along the pertaining theme of the summer photo contest. Following this lively session, there were a few sunburns, splashes and a good dose of fun!

The outing was followed by an interesting visit of the multimedia library of Rueil-Malmaison, hosted and presented by one of its heads along with the language teachers, before the traditional quiz allowing the students to find their bearings. Judging by its wealth of varied works and media material in French and English, the place will be useful for the students during their 16 month stay at the School.

We wish them a culturally intensive year to come!
