    An awarded economist

    January 4, 2017

Congratulations to Florian Perrotton, a doctoral student at the School’s Center for Economics and Management who was awarded the 2016 prize for second best article by the Society for Energy Economists for his paper “The economics of rate-of-return regulation in the natural gas pipeline industry”.

The prize was awarded in the presence of Mr. Marcel Boiteux (EDF Honorary President) during the annual dinner of the Society. The jury highlighted a relevant approach that “draws a bridge between representations used by engineers and economic modeling, and opens new perspectives for the understanding of economic stakes inherent to the natural gas industry.”

The doctoral research carried out by Florian is part and parcel of the CIFRE industrial research agreement between ENGIE, IFPEN and the Université Paris-Ouest Nanterre La Défense. This doctoral project is supervised jointly by Alain Ayong-Le-Kama (Université Paris-Ouest Nanterre La Défense) and Olivier Massol (Center for Economics and Management, IFP School).
