Energy sustainability: The economics of CCS adoption

    March 6, 2017

On Feb. 7, 2017, Dr. Olivier Massol (IFP School – Center for Economics & Management) gave a talk on the economics of Carbon Capture and Storage (CCS) technologies during the V Simposium International “Challenges for the Energy Sector” organized by The Chair of Energy Sustainability at the University of Barcelona. This event gathered a broad audience of academics, students, industry experts, policy makers and consultants.

During his talk, he presented the issues related to the deployment of these low-carbon energy technologies, discussed the barriers that could limit their diffusion and proposed some strategies to overcome them. This talk provided Dr. Massol with an opportunity to present the new approaches and methodologies taught in the Energy & Markets program offered at IFP School.
