The PRO program on a visit to EDF thermal power station in the Lorraine region

    June 29, 2017

All 17 students from the Energy and Products (PRO) program, accompanied by Mrs. Anne Jaecker (IFP School) and Mr. Morsili (EDF) went on a visit to the Blénod EDF thermal power station in the Lorraine region on 19th May 2017.

On this occasion they were able to visit the combined-cycle gas plant, running since October 2011. More specifically they studied the Gas Cogeneration unit, which allowed them to better visualize the theoretical aspects taught in class.

This visit made up part of the “Gas, industrial combustion and environment” teaching unit, one of the 13 teaching units in the PRO program, preparing the students to become key energy transition players.
