Processes and Polymers

Program language

Whether in everyday life or at work, polymers are everywhere. This industry has been experiencing record growth for several years. The polymer sector is developing thanks to new applications in every field (medical, construction, transportation, packaging, electronics, etc.) and to its ongoing innovations.  These new processes have become strategic given the requirements related to respect for the environment (recycling, biopolymers, etc.).

The Processes and Polymers program offers you overall knowledge of the petrochemical chain. You are trained in crude oil refining processes, monomer production, industrial polymerization and plastics processing.

At IFP School, we put a strong focus on scientific, technical and economic skills, but we also teach expertise in the design, construction, operation and optimization of safe and clean processes.

Our programs adapt to the leading trends in the field and to constantly changing markets. The demand for finished products that are increasingly effective in terms of their applications and environmentally-friendly is constantly growing. We therefore explore the development of new polymer qualities in depth (lifecycle analysis, recycling, biopolymers, etc.).

The Processes and Polymers program offers numerous opportunities in a sector stimulated by the development of new applications and its ongoing Research and Development. The degree gives you openings in a wide range of fields: process development, product development, engineering, operations, research, sales engineering, etc.
