    SPE Student Chapter conference on exploration and production in the Arctic

    Annie Audibert-Hayet, head of Total’s Extreme Cold R&D program, and Michel Sacleux, geologist in Total’s new projects department and expert in exploration, gave last January 9th a conference on the exploration and production of the Arctic, a region rich in hydrocarbons (oil and gas).

    The presentation focused on key topics: the geopolitics around the northern resources, the geological potential, the economics of oil and gas in the Arctic, the environmental issues and actions taken by the oil companies as well as the engineering challenges.

    This conference, exclusive for current and former students of IFP School, was organized by the SPE Student Chapter.
