    • Olivier Massol, Scientific Assistant to the Director of IFP School, and Omer Rifaat, a graduate of the Master of Energy and Markets (class of 2015), have just co-authored the article "Phasing out the U.S. Federal Helium Reserve: Policy insights from a world helium model", published in the scientific journal Resource and Energy Economics.

    IFP School prepares engineers for work in the energy and transportation sectors.
    Our mission is to train the key players of the energy transition and meet current industrial and societal needs in the fields of energy, oil, gas, petrochemicals and powertrains.

    Our strong industrial partnerships, our position within IFP Energies nouvelles, our multidisciplinary educational programs, international prestige and unique work environment have been building the School we know today. All of these assets have helped to train competent, open-minded and responsible professionals who are appreciated and in demand on the job market (97% employment rate upon leaving the School).


    Strong ties with industry

    IFP School has established a unique training model based on significant industrial integration.
    Our ten industry-oriented training programs aim to provide our graduates with a sound basis of knowledge and skills so that they are immediately operational in the fields of Exploration-Production, Energy Sector Processes, Powertrains and Products, and Economics-Management.
    The industry-oriented training we provide hinges on:

    • Professionally-oriented training that includes numerous real-life case studies, technological developments and practical training in the field.
    • Teaching staff that associates the School's permanent faculty with more than 350 specialists from industry.

    In order to be up to speed with industry needs and adapt its training, IFP School enjoys solid partnerships with a variety of companies in the energy and transportation sectors. More than 50 companies support IFP School through student sponsorships (scholarships), student support via apprenticeships (work/study contracts), and study leave for professionals.

    A unique scientific environment

    IFP School is an integral part of IFP Energies nouvelles (IFPEN), a research, innovation and training center for energy, transportation and the environment. This provides a synergy between training, research and innovation.
